BOAT TOUR

The most important urban characteristic of Venice is that it’s a water-based city, built on over one hundred small independent islands separated by shallow canals whose lazy streams are regulated by the tides. The best way to understand the relationship between the city and its lagoon, between land and water, is to take a ride on a private water taxi.

Our 2-hour tour is a basic introduction to Venice, seen as it was built to be seen: from the water. The trip includes the Grand Canal and St. Mark’s Basin – with spectacular views of the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square – plus a number of smaller canals which pass through local neighborhoods.
